Yesterday, the SEO community (well specifically– some of the higher profile blogs: StuntDbl and GreyWolf for example) got hit by a hack using a Wordpress Exploit. None of the bloggers in question had updated their software for the last few updates.
It is just a good reminder that those of us who use open-source software need to make sure we are upgrading when security updates come along. You never know when some bored attention seeker will come along and use those available exploits. (look at all the exploits for phpBB)
So just a reminder kids, always add your security patches and do regular back-ups. PS– Wordpress has a new available update.
